In this webinar, Dr. Elise Erickson, PhD, CNM, FACNM, will discuss the current understanding of the scope of postpartum hemorrhage and related morbidity as well as why current tools fail to predict PPH in 40% of cases and how oxytocin is related to these outcomes. She will also present her current research which is digging deeper into our understanding of variation in oxytocin influences the body (genetic & epigenetic) and how these differences between people may be shaped by our environments and influence oxytocin function or hemorrhage.
