National Day of Action for Maternal Mental Health

We invite our members to join us in amplifying the call for continued federal support for crucial maternal mental health programs.

What is the National Day of Action?

This one-day online campaign mobilizes thousands of advocates across the country to contact their federal elected officials and urge them to maintain funding for two vital maternal mental health programs:

  • The National Maternal Mental Health Hotline (1-833-TLC-MAMA): A 24/7 voice and text service offering support and resources to moms and families.

  • The State Maternal Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders (MMHSUD) Program: A program that provides training, consultation, and resources for healthcare providers who serve pregnant and postpartum people.

Why This Matters

Although no specific cuts to these programs have been proposed, there is growing concern around reductions in federal funding for public health initiatives. By taking action now, we can demonstrate the widespread support for maternal mental health and help ensure these life-saving resources continue.
