Black Short Film Screening

  • USC Fisher Museum of Art 823 West Exposition Boulevard Los Angeles, CA, 90089 United States (map)

Join us for an evening of reflection, empowerment, and action as we shine a light on the urgent issue of Black maternal mortality. In collaboration with CinnaMoms Crenshaw, we present a curated selection of Black short films. Through powerful narratives, these films amplify the voices of Black mothers, highlighting systemic challenges they face before, during, and after childbirth. In addition to the screening, immerse yourself in a live art installation capturing the Black maternal experience, engage with community resources, and explore vendors offering goods and services supporting maternal health. Let's break the silence surrounding Black maternal mortality together. Admission is free, but donations supporting maternal health initiatives are welcome. RSVP to secure your spot and participate in this vital conversation!
